Creating brand awareness without marketing expenses has been a challenge for me as an entrepreneur. It takes more than just creating a logo, a slogan and sharing information and photos of the products. It is much more than that.
Never mind the difficulties and the slow results, the word-of-mouth marketing approach is a long-term investment. To have this marketing method work, first of all quality products that are really appreciated and valued are needed.
After the products have been created and the appropriate prices have been set, positioning and promotion are applied the wheel starts spinning!
The WOW effect is the key to success.
What I found also very challenging is the way to reach the end-client and to communicate the brand ideas and values, which without the social media is way harder.
When I started operating the company in 2014 I had only a slight idea and a vague understanding of the driving forces in the business, I had decent understanding of the theory of microeconomics but no experience in selling clothing whatsoever. I had experience in other directions and this experience was rather insufficient.
However, today 9 years later, I have already worked as a salesman in a successful store for menswear, I have been browsing the social media platforms for long enough as well as the platforms for selling and buying products. During this period my understanding of the driving forces in the industry has increased 10-folded, at least. The understanding of the clients' needs and desires has expanded and these combined give me great advantage in the field and gave me a chance for a sufficient market share.
During the pandemic period there was enough time and chance for me to attend seminars and online fairs in the clothing industry, where one can learn a lot, really a lot. Recently I had a change to participate in a seminar for the End-of-Products'-Lifecycle where the new ideas related to fabrics creation were introduced by an expert from the Austrian manufacturer Lenzig.
So after all, in the long run the hard work should not scare you or make you give up the ideas and strategies and often the harder a work is the sweeter the results.
Today I see the fruits of my hard work and I taste the sweetness of success. However, one needs to remain focused and not overwhelmed neither in hard times nor in good times and remain steady and stable in his/her values, beliefs, ideas and ideals! Keep that in mind!
